One Carl Frampton has called things as he sees them on social media and boxing fans appear to be in agreement with the little guy from Belfast.
Little guy, but big fight.
Frampton returns to the ring in April against Nonito Donaire on the same night that Amir Khan has his comeback on Sky in the UK, which will likely batter Frampton’s audience to be honest against Donaire.
But that’s out of his control.
His job is to work hard and keep looking for the big fights. One such big fight is a rematch with Leo Santa Cruz.
The Irishman and Mexican have shared the ring twice to date with both scoring wins making it 1-1 at the moment.
Frampton really wanted the third fight this summer with the four-weight world champion but it ain’t happening in the summer at least because a beautiful war between Santa Cruz and fellow Mexican warrior Abner Mares has been ordered (in so many words – but not limited to) to happen on June 9th by Al Haymon (whom Frampton also has as a manager).
It’s a great fight in fairness, but it’s not the trilogy that fans want at the same time either. We thought the “Jackal” said it all with this:
Leo, good luck to you and Abner but the dogs on the street know that’s not the rematch the fans want to see https://t.co/BgpgK3MRM9

Surely the winner gets Frampton, one would have thought.
