The fight community is generally delighted with the news tonight that two of the world’s best middleweights will duke it out again, but they’ve got one thing on their mind at the same time.
The first fight proved controversial because of one particular judge that ended up seeing the overall contest scored a draw, with most feeling Golovkin deserved to win the fight on the night, on balance.
Coming into the second fight this hot potato is on everyone’s mind it seems following the news tonight (including Golovkin himself first up):
You’re right. This time we won’t need the judges. #CaneloGGG2 pic.twitter.com/h5Hcsh2Evo

Even if @GGGBoxing knocked him out cold, it would still be a draw.

Remember when @LennoxLewis beat @holyfield all over the ring for 12 rounds and they called it a draw. Nothing has changed.

It’d be better if judges did score it, not Golden Boy employees. Sorry, I meant contractors. Calling them Employees would make it unethical.

So get rid of the judges and just let them fight. Or you could hire competent judges.

Another rigged fight or what

The judging in this is obviously going to be scrutinised incredibly following the first fight.
If it is the Nevada State Athletic Commission regulating the fight in Vegas again, one suspects they will take every measure to ensure a fair decision is arrived at for May 5th.
