Tony Bellew is sill eyeing a possible fight with Tyson Fury down the road and is not letting him off the hook with his verbal jousts at present. Bellew, never a guy shy to share his opinion. Like Fury, really.
The two if they did fight would create surely one of the biggest carnavals in recent boxing history for their ability to talk alone.
Two guys who are master sellers of fights. The ultimate mouthpieces of British boxing these days.
Fury has laughed off any possible challenge posed by the former world cruiserweight champion but Bellew himself is not laughing.
He thinks he can definitely beat the Manchester heavyweight. Speaking to The Metro, Bellew said:
“He’s allowed to fight again and I wish Fury good luck. Tyson Fury is a good guy and there’s a lot of idiots in this business. I’d love to fight him. I’d love to be his first fight back. Do I think I can beat him? Absolutely, 100 percent.”
Fury must first make his comeback to the sport of boxing this April and as things stand has exactly a couple of days left before the Ring Magazine will strip him of their title.
Unless he names an opponent for April.
Bellew for his part takes on David Haye in a heavyweight rematch this coming May in the O2 Arena in London.
