Canelo Alvarez was largely written off in the first fight between the two in some circles of fight fans but in the rematch there’s a case to be said that he has a better chance.
Why?
Well, he’s younger, he’s got a fire lit under him for a start in that many thought he lost the first fight hands down.
He’s a proud warrior like Golovkin and will want to show people that he is in fact the better fighter and the best middleweight in the world today.
Following the fight getting confirmed he’s brief reaction of the following on Instagram:
“The time has arrived! See you on May 5th. We are ready!! Time is up! We are ready !! See you on May 5”
Hit the nail on the head there, really. Indeed it is.
This is a question of fans simply counting the days down now and waiting for things to kick off.
There is still no news just yet on the official venue confirmation, but that news should be done in the coming days.
Likely in Vegas or New York one would imagine.
What a fight though.
The first one was a cracker with the controversial judging aside, it’s hard to see how the rematch could be anything less than a great fight.
