Conor Benn, son of famed fighter Nigel Benn, has been given the green light for his next date for his return to work.
So far since turning pro Benn has made a rocket fast start to the pro ranks and has gone 12-0 in a very short time frame.
Despite the fact he’s only 21 years old.
Now Benn will fight next on April 21st on the same card as Amir Khan’s comeback fight to the sport – at the Liverpool Arena in Liverpool, UK.
Speaking on the fight, Benn said:
“I got the win and showed heart to come back from the first round. The support in York Hall was amazing and it really drove me on. I’m 21 and I’ve come into the game as a kid, but I’ve been tested a couple of times already.”
Benn has been steadily improving fight to fight.
In the beginning you could see how raw he was with a raw punching power to his game very evident, although fight to fight he seems to be adding more variation to his attacks as well as more head movement.
With that type of fight style similar to his fathers, I’d like to see more head movement as his career progresses not just to get him out-of-the-way of what’s coming back – but to position him in the right place to land his own ferocious attacks when he gets onto the inside and where he does some of his best work, as well at mid range.
An opponent for April 21st for Benn should be confirmed in the next two weeks.
