Bolton boxer Amir Khan has been busy behind the scenes during his comeback charge to the ring later this year.
Khan will return to the ring this April to take on Canadian Phil Lo Greco in Liverpool and it will mark the first time he’s boxed since April of 2016 when he was knocked out by Canelo Alvarez.
He did move up to middleweight for that bout to be fair. A fight no one expected him to win in truth.
Since then its been a roller coaster ride for Khan outside of the ring with different business ventures going belly up, problems with his parents, a near divorce with his wife and other tabloid claims.
But most of all that is resolved now and to be fair to Khan, he’s never let up the pace on his excellent charity work that he does all around the world.
He announced the latest today with this video on social media:
Giving back to boxing. I opened the 2nd Amir Khan boxing academy in Islamabad Pakistan🇵🇰, after the 1st Amir Khan academy in England🇬🇧 I’m delighted to say we have won numerous Gold Silver & Bronze medals, Around 100 men and women come every session #UK #Pakistan #Givingback pic.twitter.com/CYQQgTSVOk

Fair play Amir Khan.
Despite the online trolling he often comes in for from various parts of the boxing world, this genuinely stellar work does not get highlighted enough.
Why Khan comes in for so much hate online seems strange considering the amount of exciting fights he’s been involved in over the years.
