George Groves trainer Shane McGuigan stayed relatively quite on the subject this week when asked how he felt about been called a PE teacher by team Eubank. Well, he’s waited until his fighter won tonight before letting loose.

PE teacher certainly proved to be wide of the mark considering the fact that McGuigan and Groves got the tactics absolutely spot on tonight.

Boxing from the outside behind a long jab, Groves controlled the fight largely and boxed to the tempo that he decided to.

Following the bout, here’s what Shane McGuigan said about that PE slight from team Eubank:

Perhaps it will be team Eubank who are the ones going back to the drawing board after tonight.

What a fight though. Certainly an excellent night’s boxing that delivered for fans.

However in the UK it has been widely reported that the purchasing process to receive the fight caused a lot of trouble for TV viewers.

Hopefully this can be ironed out in time for the final of the World Boxing Super Series in a few months time.
