WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders has taken the opportunity tonight to put the foot in on his old nemesis Eubank Jr.
Indeed, the hate is real between the two if after all these years since they fought that Saunders had to instantly give him stick online as soon as the judge’s decision came in tonight.
Groves won by unanimous decision in an excellent fight to watch.
Eubank showed tremendous heart but alas, he was just out of his depth tonight with the more technically competent Groves.

The two men shared the ring a few years back when Saunders ran out a winner by close points decision but to this day, the bad blood still remains.
Tonight’s fight was at the super-middleweight limit in the World Boxing Super Series.
Perhaps following this tournament Eubank will move back down to middleweight and fight at his usual weight category.
Saunders no doubt would welcome a rematch.
