Groves v Smith has now been set up after Callum Smith booked his place in the final last night with a unanimous points decision.
Many have thought Groves and Smith to be the favourites in the super-middleweight leg of the World Boxing Super Series tournament from day one.
Now all the questions will be answered come June in the final.
It’s a final that Groves expects to make and be fit for following a shoulder injury sustained in his semi-final win over Chris Eubank Jr.
It will mark an opportunity to gain revenge for his brother Paul Smith who lost to Groves a number of years back in 2011.
Groves is a totally different fighter since then however. That fight came when he was very, very green in the pro ranks.
Fans have been debating what will happen in the final already – here’s some of the sentiment flying around at the moment:
Just watched the Smith fight even tho I’d like him to win the final I’m sticking to me original prediction in Groves. Seasonsed vet now way to classy & such a big step up for Callum! #GrovesSmith #WBSS

I like both @StGeorgeGroves and @CallumSmith23 looking forward to the final, battle of the jabs, but I think Groves wins on points based on Callum’s last few fights. Can’t see it being a “classic” tbh #GrovesSmith @WBSuperSeries #WBSS
