Leading British boxing trainer Peter Fury offers Anthony Yarde some pointers after his latest victory this weekend.
Anthony Yarde marched on in style in his latest win on Saturday night.
It saw him progress his record as a pro to 15-0 (14KO) and continue to improve his reputation as a leading prospect in boxing, although was open to some right hands in the fight.
Yarde’s explosive fighting style has won over many fans so far but still has plenty to work on obviously.
As he mounts his assault to a world title over the coming years at light-heavyweight.
Speaking after the fight was over former trainer to Tyson Fury, Peter Fury, had this tactical analysis for Yarde:
Yarde shouldn’t jump back in strait lines to miss the right. Needs quicker lighter feet to find range with light fast shots followed by power. Needs to switch left to right angles to body & roll more. Top talent @mranthonyyarde

The overall reaction to Yarde’s career thus far has been largely positive.
However some critics still exist and have not taken to him just yet. Popular British fighter Dave Allen got a lot of support for this tweet last night:
People often ask me why I don’t like certain people and I just say do you like tea, they say yes, I say do you like coffee they say yes, I say do you like pineapple juice they say not really, for me Anthony yarde is pineapple juice and I can’t really warm to it

Yarde getting some stick today which I feel is unwarranted! He needs to work on his movement left to right and his footwork but he is absolutely a talent! I also don’t see him as arrogant like others do! The boy has some serious pecs too which is nice.? @mranthonyyarde ?
