The boxing world has gone into overdrive following a positive test by Canelo Alvarez ahead of his May 5th showdown with Gennady Golovkin.
It is understood organisers are still hopeful of the fight going ahead on May 5th at the T-Mobile Arena.
Despite Canelo testing positive for the substance known as Clenbuterol.
His promoters Golden Boy released a statement admitting the positive test but mentioned that it was consistent with meat contamination consistent with similar cases that have happened other Mexican athletes in recent years.

I say this give Canelo the benefit of the doubt we know the substance is widely used in Mexico given to animals to make them grow faster and he’s never been caught being dirty before and I believe he was tested by Vada last time right and nothing came out just my opinion
