Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder’s names continue to be linked with one another after Wilder’s latest win over Luis Ortiz.
It was a performance that catapulted Wilder to an even higher level in the sport as the WBC heavyweight champion looks to land the elusive bout with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua of course has a unification at the end of this month with Joseph Parker first, which is no forgone conclusion, by any stretch, but him and a showdown with Wilder seems to be what fans on both sides of the pond want at the moment.
Last year Wilder took it upon himself of having go at Joshua’s English accent at points in interviews, using the word ‘mate’ when calling Joshua out at different times.
Well, now Joshua has had a chance to have his go at impersonating his American rival.
All jokes side, Wilder will be in deadly serious mood come the end of the month when he watches Joshua and Parker collide on March 31st.
The winner of that fight will hold the three other major heavyweight belts outside of Wilder’s WBC strap.
So logic would surely suggest Wilder gets the winner at some point this year, surely.
