Australian Lucas Browne could find himself in the mix for the winner down the line if he wins his next fight next weekend.
This time next week Browne takes on Dillian Whyte in a genuine heavyweight grudge match between two aggressive, big punchers in the division.
Both have shown to have knockout punches in the past and it makes for a nice heavyweight preamble for Anthony Joshua vs Joseph Parker the week after.
Speaking on the fight with Sky Sports TV, Browne said:
“I think if Joshua stays long he’ll have it. I think if he fights closer like he did in the (Carlos) Takam fight he gives Parker more of a chance. Now, it’s the heavyweight division everyone punches hard, so if he does land a good shot on Joshua – you never know what happens. I think Joshua’s chin is somewhat suspect but you’ve got to get there in the first place.”
The fight takes place on March 31st at the Principality stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
Whyte vs Browne takes place next week on March 24th at the O2 Arena in London.
