Former Canelo Opponent Not Buying Meat Excuse In Drugs Test

A well known Canelo opponent who gave more than a good account of himself against the Mexican star has now gone on camera about what he thought of the infamous recent Canelo drugs test.

Canelo failed a drugs test ahead of his rematch with Gennady Golovkin on May 5th with him and his handlers citing contaminated meat in Mexico as to the reason for the positive test.

In subsequent tests after that he passed them but an investigation is now ongoing by the Nevada State Athletic Commission into the matter.

Liverpool’s Liam Smith was stopped by Alvarez a couple of years back in an outdoor stadium event in Texas but pushed Alvarez hard early on and fought tooth and nail before body shots proved to be the deciding factor in Alvarez’s favor.
