For all the bad blood that went on in the weeks and months leading up to Dillian Whyte’s knockout victory over Lucas Browne last night, what they said to one another afterwards showed why boxing is such a great sport.
For months the two goaded one another on social media, TV and in pretty much every interview they did.
The end result being as conclusive as it was left no room for argument to who was the better fighter on the night.
Following the bout, Browne who had to go to the hospital afterwards said the following:
Hi everyone. Thanks very much for the love and support. It wasn’t my night and massive respect to @DillianWhyte for his performance. My eye was giving me trouble from the second and you can’t protect from what you can’t see. I’m all good and I will be back.

To which Whyte jumped in and replied with:
Big respect to you ma man god bless you and hope you are well

Fans have taken well to the mutual respect exhibited by both men above:
Yes Dillian, class from you .. Really glad to see Lucas is doing ok, it was such a heavy drop. I love my boxing but that was sickening to see last night. Massive respect to both of you.. Lucas has picked up a lot of new UK fans as he came across as a real gentleman in fight week!
