The much-loved former heavyweight champion of the world watched on as a fan this past weekend of the unification that took place in Wales between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker.
Britain’s Frank Bruno has to be up there for one of the most loved fighters in the sport’s history.
Following retirement Bruno fell on hard times with his mental health battles that have been well publicized over the years.
However in true champion fashion, he’s battled back against them and in the last couple of years in particular, appears to be in a great place mentally.
Conducting many public talks surrounding the topics of depression and other mental health challenges that the modern man faces in 2018.
On the big fight last weekend that Joshua took on points, Bruno had this to say about the winner when comparisons of the past were brought up:
Well we will never know! Let’s stop comparing him, it is what it is and I’m proud of @anthonyfjoshua & what he’s achieved, he’s 21 fights in and he’s doing us proud ?? https://t.co/Hmi44QEcDA

Indeed, making comparisons to Joshua with those of the past seems like a futile exercise.
As big Frank points out above – we’ll never know.
Many have been in agreement with Bruno’s sentiments thus far:
No one was hurt last night and we saw a great fight !
Anthony Joshua is the man on the block ? All the best to Joseph Parker great boxer!
