The Manny Pacquiao vs Lucas Matthysse fight has now been officially confirmed after months of negotiations with all details now forthcoming to the public and fight community.
Legendary Filipino boxer Pacquiao will challenge his Argentinian foe for the WBA welterweight title on July 14th in Malaysia.
Everything was confirmed by the co-promoter Oscar De La Hoya and ‘Pacman’ himself on social media:
Signed, sealed, and delivered: Proud to officially announce that WBA welterweight world champion @MatthysseLucas will put his title on the line against @mannypacquiao in Kuala Lumpur, Malyasia on Saturday night July 14 (US time).

Style-wise it’s definitely an exciting match up to look forward to.
Two explosive guys who give fans value for money more often than not, both at the end of their career – meaning both will want to finish on a high.
Pacquiao comes into the fight following a surprise defeat to WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn in Australia last year.
It will be interesting to see how much time he dedicates to his boxing training for this summer’s bout.
As opposed to last time where his political duties interfered with his training and cost him in the end.
