Former boxing champion Marcos Maidana got kicked out of last night’s fight at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In some very controversial circumstances.
The Argentinian hard man is well-loved by world fight fans for his colorful social media edits often showing him enjoying his retirement and living the dream.
He had some big fights in his career with the most notable coming against Floyd Mayweather on two occasions, pushing him close in the first fight in particular.
Now he’s back to been just a fan of the sport and last night while trying to enjoy the night’s boxing got kicked out after allegedly a friend of his spat on his old boxing manager.
Here’s the moment security stepped in caught by the guys at Fight Hype YouTube (hat tip):
Brave security staff there.
Maidana’s knockout power during his career was legendary – famously dumping Adrien Broner to the seat of his trunks in their bout.
No doubt Maidana will have something care free to say about this on social media in the future.
In one of his classic cigar photo poses – or along those lines.
