Hughie Fury put in one of the best performances of his career tonight as he mounts another challenge at a world title later this year.
He mentioned after stopping Sam Sexton in round five that he expects people to duck him moving forward but that he will force himself into a shot again through being a mandatory challenger.
After the fight his promoter also mentioned that although they won the British heavyweight title – that they will likely vacate it next up in a bid for going after a world title once again.
Here’s some of the post-fight reaction so far from the boxing world:
This new exciting Hughie Fury they’ve been promising ? ?

?? Wasn’t the most inspiring first four rounds, but Hughie Fury gets the job done with a good fifth-round stoppage of Sam Sexton. He’s now British champion and mandatory to Commonwealth champion Joe Joyce.

Great win for @hughiefury tonight. But I see him struggling against the power of @DynamiteDubois or @JoeJoyce_1
Do you feel Fury wins or loses against those two fighters @KuganCassius
