Michael Conlan, one of Ireland’s leading boxing prospects – put in a classy performance tonight at the iconic Madison Square Garden. A venue he knows all too well now.
Boxing again under new coach Adam Booth from the UK the improvements in Conlan’s game were clear to see in what was a patient display by the Irishman – who picked his punches well and comprehensively shut down opponent Ibon Larrinaga.
The final scorecards read Conlan-Larrinaga: 80-72 on all three cards in favor of Mick Conlan.
Next up for Conlan is Adeilson Dos Santos in Belfast on June 30th.
