Fury returns to boxing for the first time in nearly two and a half years on June 9th at the Manchester Arena but a fight with Tony Bellew could be around the corner just after that.
Bellew recently stopped former heavyweight champion David Haye inside the distance for a second time at the 02 Arena in London and finds himself in a comfortable position at the moment.
Currently deciding upon if and who he will fight against next.
Some have suggested that the Liverpool man could retire, while others think he could move back to cruiserweight.
But after such an impressive performance at heavyweight last time out against Haye and knowing the big pay days are in the heavyweight division, he’ll surely have one more run in a heavyweight fight.
Recently Tyson Fury told Bellew that if they fought that he’d:
“Hurt him properly.”
Now Bellew has had a chance to react to the comment on Talk Sport:
“He come out and said he won’t fight me because I’m a cruiserweight and he’ll hurt me,” he said. “Well Jesus Christ, he’s only fighting a cruiserweight isn’t he? I think he understands that I’m a much more dangerous fight that anyone he can possibly face right now.”
Bellew was referring to Fury’s next opponent on June 9th – Sefer Seferi.
