Middleweight Grant Dennis has stepped up his sparring in a bid to win a shot at the Commonwealth title before the end of the year.
The 34-year-old lost a controversial split decision to Watford’s Elliot Matthews for the English title back in December.
Dennis, who boast only one loss on his record, is back in action is quick succession on June 30th and then again a week later.
The Kent-based hitter has been sparring the likes of World Boxing Super Series contender Chris Eubank Jr in order to win a major title.
“We are looking at having three more fights at least this year, I’ve got fights in June and July, we are going to aim to get one in around September/October time and we will see from that. I have had some great sparring partners recently in Chris Eubank Jr and Billy Joe Saunders just to name a couple. You learn such a lot from being in there with these guys, it can only progress you. It keeps you motivate to keep pushing on. It’s been frustrating recently, however we have these two fights lined up, I want the Commonwealth by the end of the year so let’s see what happens.”
Grant Dennis is currently 10-1-1KO.
