Tyson Fury won his comeback fight tonight in Manchester after nearly two and a half years out and the Manchester Arena and the wider boxing world reacted in their droves.
Fury landed a pre-fight kiss on Sefer Seferi before the fight commenced. Strange stuff, but hey, it’s Tyson Fury.
The first round went to Fury, although little action occurred. A tentative opener where the former champion landed a couple of jabs over his over sized foe.
The second round was poor again. Little action.
I gave the round to Fury on punches thrown, who seemed more interested in a fight that broke out in the crowd.
Round three went to Fury again, more convincing this time.
Some upper cuts and hooks landed but really he looked like a man easing his way back into things, understandably.
The left uppercut from Fury in round 4 ensured a more business-like round from him.
Seferi was pulled out by his corner at the end of round 4. The crowd booed heavily and were less than impressed.
It looked like he quit on his stool with no marks on his face. Garbage fight overall, but it was to be expected as Fury’s first fight back after so long.
Here’s some of the reaction:
Christ, that first round was worse than I could have possibly imagined. #FurySeferi

Tyson still needs to take a couple of stone off. That’s all I’ve taken from that “fight”
At least he’s back and that’s a good thing but work still to be done
