The new WBO welterweight world champion had an ominous message for his competitors after he took out former champion Jeff Horn inside the distance.
Australian Horn showed his heart this weekend but inevitably the class, timing and power of Terence Crawford proved just too much for him in the end inside of 9 rounds.
Crawford’s unbeaten career rolls on and he’s now a three weight world champion at the age of 30.
Following the fight Crawford told the welterweight division:
“I think they all going to respect me now. I felt I displayed my talent and my power. He’s supposed to be a big puncher in the division and they say how I deal with him – so they’re going to be a little cautious.”
Indeed they will Terence. Indeed they will.
Some really super fights out there can be made too.
The likes of Errol Spence Jr springs to mind straight away.
But you’ve also got the likes of Amir Khan, Danny Garcia, Keith Thurman, Shawn Porter and many others as well.
Terence Crawford will have made big strides into most observer’s pound for pound lists after such a dominant display this weekend.
No doubt about it.
