While the fight itself wasn’t much in the way of a competitive bout the atmosphere when Fury came to the ring was quite extraordinary in a number of ways.
Fury had not fought in 925 days to be exact since he famously dethroned Wladimir Klitschko.
A lot had happened between then and last night and you could tell his fans were willing him on from the moment his music hit the speakers.
What a way to make an entrance too.
He ended up changing the lyrics to ‘Because I Got High’ which got the crowd going:

The overall ring walk however was perhaps best captured by the folks at BT YouTube – in all its glory:
Between Tyson Fury’s entrance music and ring walk the atmosphere was nothing short of spectacular to be fair.
His fans however will be hoping for more of a test next time out and hoping to see him make continued progress on his conditioning.
No doubt he will.
This writer for one would love to see either David Price or Tony Bellew next for Fury in August.
Although Price seems like a more realistic target.
