Breaking: Wilder Accepts Offer To Fight Joshua In The UK

Wilder Accepts Offer

Some very, very good news has come today for boxing fans around the world as the biggest fight in heavyweight boxing for nearly two decades looks set to be signed.

A lot of back and forth negotiation has gone on in recent times between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder to make a world heavyweight unification bout of epic proportions.

Recently however it was thought Joshua would face Russian Alexander Povetkin next up and then Wilder in December or even early in 2019.

In an exciting turn of events the mega fight between Joshua and Wilder looks set to happen next in September or October in the UK.

Speaking a short time ago Deontay Wilder confirmed on his social media accounts in his own words:

“Dear Anthony Joshua Fans,
Since your acting Dumb, Delusional or just plain Stupid here you go…. BREAKING NEWS
The $50M offer for Joshua to fight me next in the U.S. is still available to him if he wants it. In addition to that, today I agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the U.K. If Joshua prefers the fight in the U.K., the ball is in their court. It’s up to them to choose U.S. or U.K.
I’M IN!”

It now appears that Wilder has conceded to every single request that Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn have wanted – and even is willing to travel to the UK.

Things look very good indeed.

Speaking to Deontay Wilder’s manager a short time ago, Shelly Finkel confirmed to me:

“Deontay has formally accepted the offer that Matchroom presented and waiting for contracts.”
