Tyson Fury has taken to his social media platforms today to call out WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder but boxing fans have been quick to remind him how early he is into his comeback.
Fury was speaking live from the gym earlier as he bids to lose more weight for his second comeback fight on August 14th against an opponent to be confirmed in Belfast.
Fans will be hoping for some sort of name of note as opposed to Sefer Seferi who retired early on into Fury’s recent comeback fight.
Speaking today on Instagram, Fury said:
“Who would want to see FURY VS WILDER? The battle of The Titans. Bronze Bomber are you game,?”
He accompanied that with this video:

He added also today:

Some of the feedback on Instagram has been brutal so far, here’s some of the comments thus far:
“twanzelwashington Not the way you performed that last fight.
zee_149 wilder wud **** u up
lazmosthated The Only Thing You Knocking Out Is Ur Career U Haven’t Even Fought A Full 10 Rounds Yet Yu Look Rusty *** Dog **** Yu Have No KO Power Have Nice Day Go Fight Another Bumb In August @gypsyking101
johnhall1985 Will your next fight be as much of a farce as the last one?? And you criticised Haye for fighting bums?”
As you can see, boxing fans don’t mince their words.
That said, a Fury vs Wilder fight next year would make for very entertaining viewing.
It doesn’t seem realistic to expect the fight this year though.
