The Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua saga rumbles on as notable boxers past and present have their say.
Lennox Lewis, former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, came out against Joshua yesterday saying he changed his tune in the Wilder negotiations.
A surprising statement perhaps with Lewis also being from the UK, but national allegiances aside, that’s just how he felt.
Current heavyweight Tony Bellew disagrees with Lewis however and had the following message for him on Twitter:
It’s quite simple imo, sign the contract as it pays you more than you’ve ever had.. If you win then the return is the same contract but in the winners favour.. There is no doubt here who is the A side and who is the B side! AJ has unified in half the number of fights Wilders had.

Continuing on the subject, he added:
A 50/50 split when one man has 3 belts and the other has 1! Let’s just forget belts and look at there last purses! Let’s even forget about that and look at the audiences these men are drawing.. how many more comparisons do I need to make? There’s an A & B side! Know your place!

Whatever the case might be, don’t expect to see Joshua vs Wilder anytime soon at this point.
