Anthony Joshua having shared the ring with both Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker is in a unique position to be able to compare both fighter’s punching power.
Ultimately Joshua won both fights.
Whyte by stoppage and Parker on points, but the two bouts were very different.
The Whyte fight was a slug fest where Whyte had Joshua hurt at one point, whereas the Parker fight was more of a tactical affair where both men took fewer risks.
Speaking on Sky Sports on who hits harder, Joshua said:
“Um, yeah, it’s an interesting question. Probably Dillian as well, he hurt me in the second round. Parker didn’t really land too many shots. I was clever with my feet. In the gym, what I done in the gym is what I did in the fight. I worked on my feet, kept him at range, so he didn’t land a shot on me to be honest.”
Joshua will be keeping a close eye on proceedings as the winner could very well be on his radar next year.
Joshua fights next in September against Alexander Povetkin.
A press conference tomorrow in the US will announce the bout officially with another press conference expected during the week in the UK.
