Politician and world-class boxer Manny Pacquiao has returned home to his native Philippines this week after defeating Lucas Matthysse last weekend in Malaysia.
Pacquiao returned home this week to a hero’s welcome like he always does in a country that adores him as a real life hero.
And with justified reason.
Pacquiao has been known to build many houses for the poor of his country over the years out of his winnings in the boxing ring and his charitable donations are legendary.
Today he was pictured with part of the Filipino army in his home country:

Attention now turns to what could be next for Pacquiao.
What also will be interesting will be where he chooses to fight next.
With the success of his last fight being promoted by his own entity in Asia, it will be interesting to see if Pacquiao chooses to do something similar again or instead return to box in the US for promoter Top Rank.
Or if indeed he is a free agent now.
During the week British promoter Eddie Hearn who now promotes in the US said he is interested in pitching the DAZN platform to Pacquiao if he is a free agent.
