Tony Bellew was working as a pundit for this weekend’s action in the UK but as a boxing fan himself, summed things up nicely afterwards.
Bellew is technically in the heavyweight division still himself after back to back wins over David Haye this year and last year, so potentially he could find himself in the ring with one of these guys if he boxes on.
But all reports recently however coming out of his camp suggest he will box on, and likely back down near cruiserweight.
But whether it’s against Oleksandr Usyk, Adonis Stevenson or even Andre Ward, at cruiserweight or a catchweight, is not known.
The Tyson Fury fight doesn’t seem very likely for Bellew at this stage. Despite all the back and forth between the two on social media.
Bellew reacted to last night’s Chisora KO over Takam and Dillian Whyte’s points win over Joseph Parker by saying:
Enjoyed a great night at the boxing! I’d say work but I left so happy that I felt like I should pay them tbh! @dellboychisora is toughest man I’ve ever known! I love the man.. @DillianWhyte showed a desire and determination that very few understand! Last night had EVERYTHING! ?

Indeed it did.
It’s funny how boxing works out sometimes.
Sometimes the cards that are heavily criticized beforehand can often turn out to be wildly entertaining – like last night.
