Heavyweight contender Dominic Breazeale has heard about the WBC heavyweight champion’s comments in an interview saying that when they fight he would like to bring Breazeale’s son on stage before the fight so he can look into the eyes of the man who is going to ‘cripple his daddy’.

The comments have been widely blasted by most people in boxing since the interview aired this week and have put a lot of heat on WBC champion Wilder who is in negotiations to fight Tyson Fury later this year.

Wilder has had some strange comments in the past, granted.

Notably wanting ‘a body on his record’ before he ends his boxing career.

But the above about a fellow fighter’s child went perhaps the furthest yet.

Breazeale has now gotten personal in his own reply to Wilder with things appearing to get quite warped and twisted:

Trash talk has always been a part of boxing but the dark tone in which this Wilder and Breazeale beef has taken doesn’t really have anything to do with sport at all.

Wilder currently has no opponent confirmed and Breazeale is currently the WBC mandatory – so a fight between the two at some point down the line seems pretty inevitable.
