Recently promoter Frank Warren revealed on Talk Sport that he had seen a copy of the Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder fight contract despite not being a promoter of either fighter.
Warren clarified these comments however later saying he was talking to Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel about the possibility of putting the fight on BT Sport in the UK, what BT would be willing to pay for it and thus according to him, had access to the draft version of the Joshua vs Wilder contract.
Warren’s good friend and close rival in the boxing promotion world, Eddie Hearn, has taken the opportunity to comment on the subject and on the contract on Twitter today:
That really tells you everything you need to know!

We have – the ink is dry

Because the wouldn’t send a contract or meet to discuss the offer

Hearn now finds himself in the disappointing position of having missed out on the Joshua vs Wilder fight and instead, it looks like Wilder will take on Tyson Fury later this year in a massive heavyweight showdown to somewhat make up for the disappointment of Joshua vs Wilder not happening for fans this year.
