Frampton’s trainer Jamie Moore has left no stone left unturned since he starting working with ‘The Jackal’ before the Nonito Donaire fight earlier this year and explained how he’s improved Frampton physically going into his fight with Luke Jackson this weekend.
Moore was a respected fighter in his own right a few years back but is quickly making a name for himself as trainer in boxing in recent years.
Frampton impressed last time out against Donaire but going into the Luke Jackson fight this weekend Moore has said that there is no guess-work involved in his improvements physically.
Going to the Manchester Institute Performance on a weekly basis, Moore indicated that all of Frampton’s fitness number’s indicate he is overall 10% fitter than he was for the Donaire fight.
On where he is in his career Moore said:
“I think he’s in his prime. Right now he’s in his prime.”
Frampton commented on Jackson saying:
“I know a fair bit about him. I know he’s highly ranked in the WBO and he hasn’t got into that position without being a good fighter.”
On comments that Jackson made saying he is overlooking him, Frampton responded:
“Whatever happens on the night – that’s the important thing. I can say whatever. Luke can say whatever.”
The fight takes place at Windsor Park stadium this Saturday in Belfast and will be shown live on BT in the UK.
It will be shown live for free stream on Showtime YouTube and Facebook for those in the US.
