Billy Joe Saunders Reacts To Attacking Deontay Wilder With A Piece Of Chicken

WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders caused headlines last night when various short videos emerged of him running out of a restaurant in Belfast.

Upon first inspections of these odd course of events last night it looked like WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder was chasing after Saunders.

However it was clarified later this was in fact a member of Wilder’s camp.

What happened was Billy Joe Saunders and Deontay Wilder were at a Nandos restaurant in Belfast, a restaurant chain that specializes in chicken dishes and Saunders, for reasons unknown at this time, decided to attack the heavyweight champion with a piece of chicken.

He’s now reacted to his actions this morning with the following joke:

Certainly one of the more bizarre stories in boxing we’ve seen this year.

Wilder will be commentating on tonight’s Tyson Fury vs Francesco Pianeta fight knowing he could be facing Fury in either November or December if he wins.

No doubt Saunders will be in attendance tonight too.

Expect the unexpected after last night.
