Carl ‘The Jackal’ Frampton chalked in a vintage display last night that ensured his Winsdor Park dream went according to plan in Belfast.
The Belfast faithful turned out in their droves for their boxing hero.
Rain or no rain, Frampton was not to be denied.
A measured performance that picked up the pace round by round, Frampton hardly put a foot wrong in a stunning stoppage win in round 9.
Afterwards it was confirmed that Frampton will challenge featherweight world champion Josh Warrington in his next fight.
This morning Frampton reacted to the big win last night with the following message on social media:
Thank you to everyone who made last night unforgettable for me. Best fans in the world!!! pic.twitter.com/KwaCUxOW49

Incredible scenes and picture from an incredible night.
Warrington got into the ring with 31-year-old Frampton after last night’s bout as promoter Frank Warren confirmed the fight between the two is on.
No date or venue has been made official yet but one would expect the bout to take place in the UK before the year it out.
Both men come into the bout in excellent form.
Frampton on the back of last night and Warrington on the back of an upset win over previous champion Lee ‘Welsh Mayweather’ Selby.
What a fight in store.
