Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and WBO middleweight world champion Billy Joe Saunders taunted WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder after Fury’s win last night over an incident that took place outside the ring on Friday night.
The well publicized incident took place inside a Nandos restaurant in Belfast where Saunders and Wilder got into a confrontation that ended with a piece of chicken flying at Wilder followed by Saunders quickly legging it out of the establishment.
For those who have not seen it:
🐔 Cannot believe what I'm reading. Video of Deontay Wilder (in the red) chasing Billy Joe Saunders (grey and black camo shirt) out of Nando's Belfast tonight after Saunders is said to have thrown chicken at him?!

A first for boxing even, surely.
The fights themselves last night went according to plan for the two main event bouts with Fury winning a points decision and Carl Frampton producing a stunning stoppage of Luke Jackson.
Saunders was in attendance last night at the fights and as a good friend of Tyson Fury, whom he’s previously trained with, showed his support.
After the fight the pair met up back stage in an excellent interview with Radio Rahim of Seconds Out YouTube (hat tip) where they also spoke in a light-hearted manner on the now infamous ‘Chicken Gate’ incident:
(Go to 3 minutes 5 seconds for the Fury and Saunders moment)
