Samuel Vargas is definitely a man Khan is expected to beat on September 9th but he knows from experience, taking your eye off the ball on any opponent who can punch can change plans in the blink of an eye.

Khan has been training in the US again for the fight in a new arrangement that proved very explosive in his first comeback fight earlier this year.

With talks of a possible Kell Brook or Manny Pacquiao mega fight for the end of the year, Khan simply can’t afford to lose.

While Vargas isn’t a big name Khan certainly is. He sells the entire bill above by himself really.

While people might have mixed views on Khan, say what you want about the man, he’s always involved in exciting fights that if they don’t end in a KO for him – end in a KO of him.

That said, he should get through next weekend in good fashion, particularly with the added motivation of a potential Kell Brook or Manny Pacquiao fight on the line.
