Leading boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed the exact extent of his confidence that he thinks Deontay Wilder will beat Tyson Fury in their expected upcoming fight.
The bout venue and date should be forthcoming within the next week or two with most expecting it to take place in Las Vegas in December at some point.
Speaking on the Pound for Pound podcast, Hearn could not believe that most bookmakers are making it an exact 50/50 fight at the moment and urged people to ‘put the mortgage’ on Wilder to win while those odds are there.
Hearn is usually pretty accurate with his fight predictions, on the whole, but there has to be something to the fact bookmakers pretty much have both men even money each to win the fight by any method at this point in time.
Fury also is right back in serious training following his second come back fight in the sport recently.
He could be in and around 18 stone by December, or even lighter, which will make him slippery and mobile if he can get back to what he was against Klitschko in November of 2015.
That’s the million dollar question, though.
Can he get back that to that version of himself or improve on it following such a long hiatus from boxing?
Only time will tell us the answer to that.
