It was a fight he was expected to win, as is Saturday against Samuel Vargas in truth.

But, given the break he had away from the sport, he needs these kind of fights at the moment to be fair.

Particularly if he’s getting ready for Kell Brook or Manny Pacquiao this December. More than likely against the former.

Khan seems to divide opinion among fans online but say what you want about him, he’s a pure fighter.

He takes risks, is in entertaining fights and has some of the fastest hands in world boxing. The speed he throws punches with is quite the sight when he gets going.
