The Gervonta Davis and Floyd Mayweather business relationship looks to be disintegrating in front of Floyd Mayweather’s eyes as his star fighter continues to lash out towards him on social media.
Boxing great Floyd Mayweather heads up his promotional company Mayweather Promotions and if you were to go through every fighter he’s ever had or promoted, you’d have to say Davis has been the best so far.
An incredibly gifted young fighter who not long ago was the youngest world champion in the sport.
Only to lose his title on the scales.
You’d have to think Mayweather would not want to lose such a fighter from his promotional stable. Logically speaking.
Recently a fight between Abner Mares for Davis was announced but no date or venue has been confirmed as of yet.
Davis stated this week on Twitter that problems between Mayweather and him wanting his trainer where he needed him had arisen.
Now one fan tweeted Davis about starting a Go Fund Me to buy him out of his promotional contract with Mayweather to which Davis said:

Clearly he wants to be released from Mayweather Promotions by the above comment.
It will be interesting to see what Mayweather himself has to say about this on the matter over the coming days.
