Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis is unsure of how the fight will play out and thinks it could be down to what Canelo chooses to do on the night.
Some have said that if Canelo chooses to totally box and move in his rematch with Gennady Golovkin on September 15th, that he cannot possibly win the fight.
But the closer we get to the fight, the more and more money appears to be going on Canelo.
So there’s clearly a feeling out there from people that he can win a decision.
Speaking to BT Sport on the rematch, Lennox Lewis said:
“He’s (Golovkin) known as the knockout man. So we’re going to see.”
He added:
“I think it’s going to be an interesting fight. Golovkin is a great fighter. He moves. He tries to knock you out. You can see what he wants to do on his face. Canelo now. He is a smart fighter. He’s real smart. He can box both ways. He can be aggressive and he can also box.”
He continued to say:
“This particular fight I would love to see what he’s (Canelo) going to do in this fight. Is he going to be the aggressor or is he going to be the boxer. Or is he (Canelo) going to be both.”
Tactics will unquestionably be crucial on the night.
