Former super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch was critical of Khan’s motives for returning to the sport of boxing this weekend.
Froch was of the opinion that he was just back for a pay check and that the performance Khan put in at the weekend against Samuel Vargas was nowhere near what was needed to beat the top welterweights out there.
Khan has now responded to the remarks (hat tip Michael Benson):
? Carl Froch to @IFLTV on Amir Khan: “For me, Amir Khan’s back for a pay cheque.”
? Amir Khan responds: “I’ve got more money than Carl Froch, I’ve made a lot more money than him. When a fighter says I’m coming back for the pay cheque, that’s just b****cks.”

Froch is retired for a while from boxing so a fight between the two is never going to happen, nor would it have anyway due to the difference in weight.
Both men have certainly made a lot of money in their boxing careers and have formed legacies in boxing.
That much is a certain.
As for Khan, some big fights still await for him and by the end of this month you’d have to think we’ll know if the long-awaited Kell Brook fight will happen or not.
Promoter of Khan and Brook, Eddie Hearn has been vocal recently in his belief that if the fight does not happen next it will never happen.
