Former world heavyweight champion and boxing legend Frank Bruno has given his thoughts on the current top three names in heavyweight boxing today.
Bruno has always had a fond place in the British public’s heart after a career of determination that saw him eventually become heavyweight champion of the world after multiple attempts.
He keeps a keen interest still to this day on current heavyweight boxing and respects all three current top fighters in the division Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Bruno said of the Wilder vs Fury fight firstly:
“I think it’s a good fight, I think it may be a bit early for Tyson Fury.”
On a fight with Fury and Joshua down the line, Bruno added:
“I’m not a betting man but Tyson Fury is a very dangerous, very clever boxer. But Anthony Joshua is on point, very dedicated and focused and he’s out there at the moment. He’s got more experience, more seasoning. But if the fight comes Tyson Fury is a lot better than people give him credit for but Joshua you’ve got to give him respect as well because he’s on point. An intelligent guy.”
Wilder vs Fury is expected to take place this coming December in the US.
