Following both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao saying on social media this weekend that they will be having a part two, one notable former champion has responded on what he thinks of the fight.
While many have criticized the move by both Mayweather and Pacquiao, James Toney is actually in favor of it.
Speaking to Fight Hype following the sensational news this weekend, Toney said:
“I think it’s a good fight. It will be a very interesting fight again. I think Floyd is going to win. I’m happy he is coming back. He is going to bring something exciting to the sport again.”
On how a rematch plays out, Toney added:
“Just more boxing. More running – it is what it is.”
On who he thinks was a greater fighter, he said:
“Floyd. No doubt.”
The news temporarily stole the thunder from the Golovkin vs Canelo rematch yesterday but now that the dust has settled on that people are wondering when this Mayweather vs Pacquiao part two is going to happen.
In a video on social media Mayweather said Decemeber, so expect to hear official news on date and venue soon.
