The much-anticipated WBC heavyweight title fight between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury is finally set to be confirmed with an official date and venue.
The hold up has been due to the competition between venues in America wanting to stage the fight.
A good problem Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren pointed out in an interview with Kugan Cassius if IFL TV, as it will ensure they get the best offer possible for the fight.
Warren went on to say:
“Course its on. It’s on. If I say it’s on, it’s on. We’ve got a press conference next Monday (September 23rd). Wilder will be in town, he comes in and that will be the start of the tour. We do London, then we go off to New York then we do LA. A three city tour. There might be some more, we don’t know yet.”
Good news to hear.
These international press tours tend to work out as a lot of fun for the fans and due to boxing’s internationalization as a sport over the years, doing these tours in different countries really goes down well for the big fights.
There you have it, next Monday the official news comes.
