Khabib Wants 2 Prominent Boxing Men In His Corner For A Boxing Match With Mayweather

The whole boxing and UFC crossover appears to be happening all over again – a little over one year removed from Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor’s fight.

That night Floyd Mayweather stopped McGregor inside the distance in Las Vegas to extend his professional boxing record to 50-0.

He has not fought since.

In recent times however he has intimated that he will return to the ring for a Manny Pacquiao rematch but would like a tune up fight first.

Whether that comes against UFC champion Khabib or not, a man who recently tapped out Conor McGregor, remains to be seen.

Could the whole thing just be a PR stunt? Absolutely.

Professional fighting has always been about money at the end of the day.

Now though Khabib’s own father a respected man in Russia, Khabib Nurmagomedov Sr, has said he and his son want the following two men in his son’s corner if he takes on Mayweather in boxing rules – according to TASS in Russia:

“I would like the best specialist in the boxing world Anatoly Lomachenko and Mike Tyson to be in our corner (for a Mayweather fight).”

Anatoly Lomachenko being the father of current pound for pound boxing maestro Vasyl Lomachenko and Mike Tyson being, well, Mike Tyson.
