Newly crowned WBO middleweight champion of the world Demetrius Andrade is enjoying the fruits of his labor today no doubt after his win in Boston last night.

Dropping his African foe four times early on, Andrade never looked like losing as he ran out a comfortable points winner in the end.

It was meant to be him against Billy Joe Saunders but unfortunately an alleged failed test with VADA forced Saunders to vacate his title and back into the abyss for the time being.

Something he knows all too well in his boxing career having had a number of injuries but this year.

It finally looked like Saunders was getting a good run of form together this year but in truth, its been another year to forget for him.

In reply to Saunders saying he and promoter Eddie Hearn burgled his title from him Andrade has now responded with the following:

Expect a back and forth online beef to develop from this moving forward.

Saunders is not one to back down from social media antagonizing.

On a boxing note though, it’s Andrade who walks away with all the marbles for now.
