Former world champion Danny Garcia has taken time out to comment on his PBC stable mate’s upcoming fight in January.
Danny Garcia as of the moment does not have a date or opponent for his next fight.
That said, the likes of Manny Pacquiao or Adrien Broner next year could be possibilities now that they are boxing under the same umbrella as him at Premier Boxing Champions.
Broner more likely though, as it is widely acknowledged at this point that Manny wants and is pursuing the Floyd Mayweather rematch for later in 2019.
Speaking to EsNews, Garcia said:
“Yeah that’s a good fight. I think it’s an even fight. Manny Pacquiao is older now. We haven’t seen him knock out someone in a long time before he knocked out Matthysse. They are two naturally smaller guys coming up so that makes it even. Broner is not the biggest hitter, he’s not really busy. But he’s younger and can probably beat him to the punch, pick him apart and upset Manny Pacquiao’s timing. I think this is going to come down to if Broner can keep up with Manny Pacquiao’s output because a lot of people think Manny Pacquiao is going to outwork him and when the fight.”
Time will tell.
As for Garcia, hopefully we here news of an opponent and date soon.
