Former WBO middleweight champion of the world Billy Joe Saunders is asking boxing fans a pretty straight forward question. He’s certainly being left with plenty of food for thought from them.
Saunders had finally put to bed a long period of inactivity and injury woes just before last Christmas with arguably a career best points win over David Lemieux in Canada.
Lemieux since then has went on to knock out Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan in round one, making Saunders’ dismantling of him last year all the more impressive in hindsight.
Disaster after disaster has struck Saunders since then outside the ring after a recent fight against Demetrius Andrade had to be abandoned by him due to a reported failed VADA test.
Andrade won Saunders’ vacated title in the meantime and Saunders is now back in the abyss of not known what is going on with his career once again.
